About Me

Hello, my name is Dante Herrera and I am an engineer at Los Alamos National Laboratory and a graduate of the aerospace engineering department at Texas A&M University. I have previously worked at SpaceX, Texas A&M's AERO and MATH departments, and a couple of restaurants. My main interests are physics, coding, engineering, and music. My primary coding languages are Python and LabVIEW, but I am proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MATLAB as well. I am very passionate about learning and researching new things. I was first exposed to experimental research as a senior in highschool where I helped synthesize and characterize high temperature superconductors at UT Dallas. I then researched hybrid rocket propulsion at Texas A&M for several years where a presentation of my research won first place at TAMU's Student Research Week for the undergraduate general engineering section. I now help design, build, and code data acquisition and control systems for research at LANL. My greatest strength is my curiosity. As somebody with a broad interest for so many different fields, I almost always bring a unique perspective to projects I work on.
